Philosophy of Care
Jennifer enjoys spending time educating her patients so that they can better understand their procedure or diagnosis. She feels that knowledge can often alleviate patient anxiety. “My background allows me to educate my patients well, especially about procedures,” she said. “I will always advocate for my patients so that their voice will be heard.”
“I want a comfortable relationship with my patients where they know that I will work with them toward the best possible health outcome,” she said. “I want to partner with them as we work toward improved health and help them navigate the, often complex, healthcare world.
Special Interests and Procedures
Jennifer has previous experience building an enhanced recovery after surgery program and would love to bring this type of education and care to urological patients. When discussing exciting medical advancements, she mentioned the treatment of kidney stones. “Kidney stone treatment is not really a new technology, but the modalities to treat them are truly amazing,” Jennifer said. “In addition, the treatment for urinary incontinence has come so far since I started working in the field of healthcare.”
Jennifer and her husband John live in Gladwin with their two sons. In her free time, she likes attending yoga classes whenever she can, as well as spending time practicing yoga techniques. In addition to spending quality time with her family and dogs, Jennifer enjoys strolling the beautiful walking paths in Gladwin, as well as biking and kayaking.
