Kevin Weaver is a board-certified nurse practitioner with MidMichigan Health and is a member of the comprehensive heart and vascular team at MidMichigan Health. This team includes cardiologists, interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists, as well as vascular, thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons.
Kevin works in MidMichigan’s Heart Failure Clinic where he specializes in cardiac disease management and helping congestive heart failure patients manage their condition and maximize their quality of life.
Kevin said he was drawn to specialize in cardiology because the heart is “the central organ that is vital for life.” He added, “The mechanics of the heart – valves, pressures, and electricity – each work cohesively.”
Philosophy of Care
“Quality, communication and presence define me as a provider, and are the foundation of my relationship with all patients,” said Kevin on his philosophy of care. “The overall goal of health care is to achieve and maintain the highest quality of life possible for patients. To witness positive change towards an improved quality of life is the most satisfying aspect of my job.”
It’s Kevin’s goal that all of his patients receive the best possible care. He strives to be available to his patients at all times to answer questions or address concerns, helping to maintain or enhance the quality of each patient’s medical plan.
“Communication is the foundation of the patient/provider relationship,” he said. “It’s important to provide information without overwhelming your patients so that they have a solid understanding of their plan of care.”
Kevin lives in the area with his wife, Kristine, and their son. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys running, golf and watching sports.
