Biography
James Ware, D.O., takes pride in helping his patients return to their day-to-day lives. Dr. Ware is an orthopedic surgeon on the medical staff at MidMichigan Medical Center - Gratiot. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and welcomes new patients at his offices in Alma and Mt. Pleasant.
Dr. Ware received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed his internship and residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. While completing his residency, Dr. Ware served as the chief orthopaedic surgery resident.

“My patients always come first,” says Dr. Ware. “It is my goal to provide the best orthopedic care possible to help patients return to their day-to-day lives.”
Dr. Ware enjoys outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and sons.

Dr. Ware specializes in orthopedic surgery and has special interests in the anterior approach hip replacement; knee and hip replacement and arthroscopic knee surgery; shoulder surgery including arthroscopic rotator cuff, shoulder labral (SLAP) tear repair, shoulder replacements and reverse shoulder replacements; carpal tunnel release and fracture care.
