Trisha Simons, F.N.P.-B.C., is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in urology. She was attracted to her field because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of her patients.
“The most satisfying aspect of my work is helping patients improve their quality of life,” she said. “I genuinely listen and care for my patients as if they are family.”
Trisha feels the most exciting development in the field of urology is minimally-invasive procedures, because they can result in quicker recoveries and better outcomes.
Philosophy of Care
Trisha feels that it’s important to listen to her patients and their concerns, and participate in sharing decision making based on best practices to reach each patient’s goals.
“I want to have a caring and compassionate relationship based on respect with my patients,” she said. “I take time to listen to my patients’ concerns so they feel heard and their concerns are addressed.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Trisha has a special interest in urinary incontinence, recurrent UTI’s, painful bladder syndrome and difficulty urinating.
In her free time, Trisha enjoys spending time with her husband, Kurt, and their seven sons.
