Biography

Grant Price, P.A.-C., specializes in orthopedic surgery. He sees patients in West Branch, in the office of Orthopedic Surgeon Patrick Morse, M.D.

“I love using anatomy knowledge to understand and explain each patient’s condition on exam and imaging,” Grant said. “I could care for a patient with arthritis for years or see a child for a handful of visits for a broken bone.”

In surgery, it is most satisfying for Grant to come to the end of a difficult case with the entire surgical team and enjoy their collective success. In the office, learning a new patient’s stories and working through their diagnosis and plan with them is most satisfying.

Philosophy of Care

“Clear and timely communication with patients is the most important part of care,” said Grant. “Achieving excellent communication helps patients be confident in their care plan and avoid medication errors and missed appointments, among other things.”

Excellent care also requires a well-trained team that all respects each other, according to Grant. “This creates a positive workplace that leads to better patient care and outcomes,” he added.

“I want my patients to be an active team member in their care, and not feel that they are simply being told what to do,” said Grant.

“When new questions arise, I hope my patients feel comfortable bringing them up. If I don’t have a good answer for them at the time, I’ll find it.”

Growing up in Mio, Grant is very familiar with life in the northeast Lower Peninsula. “I am excited to connect with and care for my community,” he said.

Special Interests and Procedures

Grant has a special interest in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, fantasy football, hunting and fishing, picking morel mushrooms, card and board games and do-it-yourself auto repair.
