Philosophy of Care
“For over 30 years, since my second year in medical school, I have focused on thoracic and cardiovascular diseases and their surgical management,” said Dr. Jones. “The problems with which people present in this field of medicine are important to their well-being and are often emergent and sometimes life threatening. I feel to bring such patients through these troubling problems requires not only certain medical and technical skills, but also an understanding of their spiritual well-being,”
Dr. Jones explained. “To make people whole, I believe it’s important to have a total understanding of their medical problems in the context of family, friends and their life experience.”
