Jones, M.D., is the director of the open heart program at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland and is a member of the comprehensive heart and vascular team at MidMichigan Health. This team includes cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular and cardiothoracic surgeons, as well as cardiovascular trained nurses.

He sees patients in Midland.

Philosophy of Care

“For over 30 years, since my second year in medical school, I have focused on thoracic and cardiovascular diseases and their surgical management,” said Dr. Jones. “The problems with which people present in this field of medicine are important to their well-being and are often emergent and sometimes life threatening. I feel to bring such patients through these troubling problems requires not only certain medical and technical skills, but also an understanding of their spiritual well-being,”

Dr. Jones explained. “To make people whole, I believe it’s important to have a total understanding of their medical problems in the context of family, friends and their life experience.”
