"My experience with patients is vast and my ability to listen and communicate with compassion is something I hold dear."
Jenifer Garcia, P.A.-C., is a certified physician assistant who specializes in cardiology. She works collaboratively with general and interventional cardiologists and is a member of MidMichigan’s comprehensive heart and vascular team. This team includes cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, structural heart and heart failure specialists, as well as vascular, thoracic and cardiovascular surgeons.
Jenifer chose the field of medicine because she wanted to help people live the best quality of life possible. “My experience with patients is vast and my ability to listen and communicate with compassion is something I hold dear,” said Jenifer. “Cardiology, specifically, is an area that has a great deal of research and evidence for practitioners to assist patients in leading a healthy lifestyle.”
Philosophy of Care
“I believe my patient and I are a team,” she said. “It is my role to help patients understand their status and educate them regarding their treatment options to aid them in making the best decisions. I want our relationship to work and for my patients to be open and honest with me with their questions and concerns.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Jenifer is especially interested in the areas of coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure management.
She currently lives in Mt. Pleasant with her two teenage girls, Jasmine and Jada. In her free time Jenifer loves traveling with her family. She also enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.
