Kathryn Esch, N.P.-C., is a certified nurse practitioner who specializes in electrophysiology. She works with Clinical Electrophysiologists Opesanmi Esan, M.D., and Nilofar Islam, M.D. As electrophysiologists, the team uses specialized equipment to diagnose, and develop treatment plans for, patients with heart rhythm problems.
“I have a passion for cardiology and have seen firsthand the burden that arrhythmias can have on people’s lives,” she said. “I would like to work to ease that burden by providing therapies and intervention to my patients.”
Philosophy of Care
“I care for my patients like they are family,” Kathryn said. “I want to create an open, honest and mutually respected relationship with my patients, working toward achieving their optimal quality of life.”
The most satisfying aspect of her work is being able to provide care and see improvements in her patients. She believes that the field of arrhythmia management will continue to grow, and more options for treatments and interventions will become available to patients.
“I’m passionate not only about cardiology and electrophysiology but about taking care of patients and making a difference in their lives,” said Kathryn. This is what fueled my passion for nursing and it continues to motivate me as a nurse practitioner.”
In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband, David, their extended family and their pug, Nalla.
