"I realize that living a normal life with endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, can be challenging and exhausting, My idea of the best care is to walk through this difficult path with my patients."

Loabat Amiri, M.D., is with the endocrinology practice of MidMichigan Physicians Group, based in Midland.

Board certified in endocrinology and internal medicine, Dr. Amiri has a passion for endocrinology that led her to become a specialist in this “truly scientific field,” as she calls it. Knowledge and skills as both an internist and an endocrinologist enable her to provide the best care for her patients.

“Most endocrine disorders are chronic conditions, requiring ongoing support and an up-to-date plan of care for patients,” she explained. “The success of this process indeed depends on the established trust and confidence between the patient and his or her physician.”

Philosophy of Care

“I realize that living a normal life with endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, can be challenging and exhausting,” Dr. Amiri said. “My idea of the best care is to walk through this difficult path with my patients. My guide to find the right path is the never-ending learning from the dynamic world of endocrinology.”

Dr. Amiri is hopeful that patients with endocrine disorders will benefit from recent advances in this field, and she is excited for what the future holds. “The many discoveries in the field of endocrinology over the last few decades have led to dramatic changes in how we manage well-known disorders,” she said. “My ambition is to provide the best care for my patients by adhering to the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and personal responsibility to be worthy of their trust.”

Dr. Amiri chose Midland as a base from which to practice endocrinology because the town’s location offers many opportunities to be near natural settings that provide a calm, beautiful, natural environment for her family. She and her husband have a son and a daughter. As a family, they enjoy picnicking amid beautiful scenery and traveling to learn about new places and different cultures.
