Biography

Yasser Al-Jebawi, M.D. is a pediatrician at the Pediatric Specialty Center in Alma, Michigan and MidMichigan Health Park – Mt. Pleasant. He specializes in treating babies and children ages 18 and younger.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Yasser strives to develop a close and trusting relationship with his patients.

“I try to create a friendship with my patients. I always encourage my patients and their families to discuss any social concerns that may impact their lives. I also want parents to know that providers are available to consult with them around the clock, and that it is okay to call us when they are worried or have questions.”

Dr. Yasser describes pediatrics as the “cornerstone of preventive medicine.”

“Preventive efforts are more rewarding in pediatrics, because interventions in early childhood can make a lifelong difference in the patient’s health and can even increase their life expectancy. I take a special interest in newborn health and helping young people develop healthy habits from the outset. Healthy children are the future of every community, and it is critical that our children get the care they deserve.”

“One of the most exciting advancements in medicine is the ability to vaccinate children, and as a result, many serious diseases are now rarely seen. That’s why I strongly encourage parents to keep up with their child’s vaccinations.”

Dr. Yasser’s favorite pastimes include hiking, traveling and spending time with his wife, Ola and 15-month old daughter.
