What we Do

Trauma is the leading cause of death in people ages 1 – 44 in the United States, and it accounts for 47 percent of all deaths in this age group. It’s our goal to improve the outcomes for patients who are traumatically injured, as well as reducing the incidence and severity of the injury.

What to Expect

At MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland, trauma patients are assured rapid treatment via our trauma activation system, which guarantees that the trauma team, including an attending trauma surgeon, is at the Emergency Department bedside within 15 minutes of arrival for severely injured patients. Operating room services are available 24 hours a day featuring a dedicated trauma call team and in-house anesthesia coverage.

MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland also has a Neuro/Trauma ICU staffed with nurses who are specially trained to care for the needs of the trauma patient.
