Catheterization Labs
Cardiac catheterization involves inserting a thin flexible tube called a catheter into the coronary arteries, to diagnose and/or treat cardiovascular conditions. This technique is most often used to locate blockages or other problems by measuring the pressure and flow of blood in the heart and by capturing images of the arteries, called angiograms.
