Men's Grief and Loss Support Group - Midland

Recognizing that men grieve differently and often feel more comfortable sharing their experiences with other men, MidMichigan Home Care designed a support group specifically to meet their needs. This group focuses on grieving as a man and is specific to those experiencing spousal/partner loss.

This support group is designed to teach about defining grief, common and normalcy of grief reactions, caring for ourselves while grieving and recognizing progress in processing grief. There is opportunity to share losses and memories while discussing opportunities for healing. The program is facilitated by a Bereavement Coordinator or Medical Social Worker.

This group has a more social atmosphere. Newly bereaved adults are welcome, but should be aware of the nature of this group. Men are welcome to join at any time.

The group is ongoing, and individuals are encouraged to come as often as they need, for as long as they need.

This group is designed for drop-ins.
