The Intersection of Spirituality and Faith During Serious Illness
When you or a loved one receive the diagnosis of a serious illness you face many complex decisions during a highly emotional time. You seek guidance from both health care professionals and leaders from your faith community. Often you ask these advisors “if it were you, what would you do? If it were your loved one in the hospital bed, how would the knowledge you have about faith and medicine impact your decisions?”
During this conference health care professionals, patients and faith leaders who have experienced serious illness or significant crisis will share through story telling how their knowledge of medicine and their belief systems guided their decisions.
