Description

Escape and Oblivion: A Clinical Perspective on Adolescent Substance Use

This session will describe the spectrum of adolescent substance use problems from the standpoint of neurobiology and brain development. Participants will learn the principles of screening and brief intervention in adolescent substance use. Additional topics include a review of novel psychoactive substances and efforts to reduce adolescent substance use at a societal and primary care level.
