Building Bridges for Breastfeeding Duration
Getting breastfeeding off to a good start is key in making sure that mom meets her personal breastfeeding goals and that the Healthy People 2020 Goals for breastfeeding are achieved.
The objective of this program is to promote collaboration between hospitals, the WIC Program and community partners in providing evidence based lactation support services to increase breastfeeding initiation and duration rates.
This highly acclaimed program demonstrates that new mothers can be discharged from the hospital confident in their breastfeeding skills, and establishes that community partners are prepared to continue supporting and educating new mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals.
