This Infant and Child CPR course teaches lay rescuers skills in CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction for infants (birth to 1 year) and children (1 to 8 years). This course also provides information about the American Heart Association Pediatric Chain of Survival: signs of choking infants and children: prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. This course is presented by certified instructors and will include demonstration and practice on mannequins. The $20.00 fee includes book.
THIS IS NOT A CERTIFICATION COURSE. YOU WILL RECEIVE A PARTICIPATION CARD.
Participants should be at least 28 weeks along to participate. This class is recommended to be completed at least 30 days prior to the expected due date. Participants are still welcome to attend after the birth of the baby.
