If you register for a class, we will notify you of any changes or cancellations using the email address or phone number you provide at registration. Fees & Payment

The charge for this program is $60 per couple. Payment is due at the time of registration, using a debit or credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa or Discover. Instructors do not take money at the class.

Medicaid Coverage
Healthy Beginnings classes are fully covered under Medicaid. Patients who are currently enrolled in Medicaid may enter their Medicaid number when registering for these classes to receive them free of charge. Please note, per Medicaid policy, patients must attend at least 50 percent of the class time and cover at least 50 percent of the class material. Patients who register and then fail to meet the attendance requirement will be responsible to pay for the class in full.

Need Help Paying for Classes?
Funding is also available for non-Medicaid patients to help make classes more affordable. If you need help covering the cost of these classes, contact Health Line at (800) 999-3199 or email health.line@midmichigan.org to ask about payment options.

This class is designed to provide the best start for you and your baby. It is ideal for all caregivers.

Session 1 Infant Care: Feeding

Breastfeeding
Bottle feeding
How often to feed
Proper weight gain
Bonding
Burping
Pumping

Going back to work while nursing

Session 2 Infant Care: Safety

Infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with hands-on practice
First aid
Car seat safety
SIDS
Safe sleep
Safety in the home
Immunizations

There will also be a virtual hands-on demonstration with an opportunity for virtual return demonstration. Please bring a doll and baby blanket to this class.

Baby Bundle Discount

This class is eligible for the Baby Bundle discount and is Free for patients with Medicaid (see details).

Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend an event for which you registered, we are happy to reschedule you for another available date, transfer your registration to another eligible person, or process a full refund. To receive a transfer or refund, you must call MidMichigan Health Line prior to the cancellation deadline for your event.
