Interviews are scheduled by invitation only and are conducted November 1 through January 5 of each year. The interview process includes an overnight stay in Midland (at the residency program’s expense), which accommodates an informal question and answer session with one or two of our current residents. The actual interview day includes meetings with the director, other members of the faculty and available residents. A tour of the Medical Center and a driving tour of the city also are provided.

Excellent Reputation, Cameraderie, Hands-On Experience

"I chose this program because of its excellent reputation for producing strong family medicine physicians. In addition, I clicked well with the program's faculty and valued the camaraderie between residents and faculty members. I knew the unopposed program would give me hands-on experience doing procedures and investigating medical cases that I would encounter in day-to-day practice. The intensive outpatient experience also integrates textbook information into practice by combining patient volume with extensive review of cases while we precept. I know it was the right match for me, and it has prepared me to practice in most any health care setting."
