Alpena Opportunities

Family Medicine/Pediatrics/Walk-In Care

MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena has a great opportunity for an NP/PA that is interested in working on a casual basis. This primary care provider would provide coverage for Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Walk-In Care seeing adults and pediatrics in an outpatient care setting.

This casual position would cover PTO and LOAs in Alpena. Clinic hours vary depending on location but the majority of the hours fall in a traditional work day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Midland Opportunities

Family Medicine

MidMichigan Health is looking for an experienced NP/PA (ideally with primary care experience) to join an established family medicine practice in Midland, MI! This fantastic opportunity is located in the Campus Ridge Building on the campus of MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland, and allows you to follow patients through all stages of life, newborn through geriatrics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, physical exams, diagnosis and treatment of illness, ordering and interpretation of test results, counseling on preventative health measures, appropriately prescribing and managing medications, and immunizations.

The APP will be working alongside seven established physicians and two physician assistants with a wide range of experience. The supervising physician is located on site, and position is open to experienced applicants. The care team also includes the support of a care manager, behavioral health specialist and an ambulatory pharmacist.

This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with traditional office hours. This position will be floating between pods within the office which allows for a fantastic opportunity to work in different settings and make each day exciting and new! 

There is the potential to be a 4 day work week with extended patient hours. There will be after hours phone call requirements shared with others in the practice and call is anticipated to be 1:10.

Urology (Inpatient Only)

MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland has an open position for an NP/PA with our Urology team! Although experience would be highly preferred, the team is willing to consider new grads. This position is an inpatient opportunity covering day shift Monday through Friday. Anticipated hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. but may vary and weekends/holidays are not required.

This position will cover rounding for Dr. Miraka and Dr. Witzke’s inpatients as well as coordinate patient care with hospitalists, RN, and other hospital staff. The APP will round in the AM and complete consults as they are paged. There will also be responsibility to complete ER and OB consults. The APP will collaborate with the attending physicians regarding patient care through Telemediq.

Vascular Surgery

MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland has a very exciting opportunity for an NP/PA interested in Vascular Surgery! This position is both inpatient and outpatient focused to consist of pre-op and post-op visits as well as established patient visits. A travel/satellite clinic will likely be established in Alma, Mt. Pleasant, or Clare. Inpatient responsibilities include rounding for patients admitted/consulted to the vascular surgery service, as well as rounding on post-op patients and discharging patients from the service or to home. Inpatient rounding will be rotated with the other APP in the service.

At this time, there will be no OR requirements. This position will be day shift hours, with the average day running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility will be needed with the end of day, as all consults will need to be completed before departure.

There will be a 1:3 weekend call requirement shared with the team, as well as a holiday rotation.

West Branch Opportunities

Urgent Care

We are looking for a dedicated APP for a full-time, position available at a fast paced urgent care in West Branch, Michigan. There will be a mix of shifts that are single coverage, and several days of the week that will be double coverage.

MidMichigan Urgent Care – West Branch provides walk in and self-scheduled appointments, seeing all ages and conditions in a fun and friendly environment. In addition to acute care, the ideal candidate will also see patients with occupational health related screenings, physicals, and work related injuries.

The Urgent Care is a fully equipped modern facility with onsite x-ray, integrated EMR, and an experienced care team. Our nurses and radiology techs are dedicated to support you in providing excellent patient care, and our full time leadership is on site to assure smooth clinic operations.

Urgent Care experience preferred but not required. DOT certification preferred, but on the job training for certification is available. The current schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off but subject to change. Two of the shifts are 8 hours and five shifts will be 12 hours.
