Alma Opportunities

Urgent Care

We are looking for a dedicated APP for a new, exciting, full time, position available at a fast paced urgent care in Alma, Michigan. You will work with an experienced physician and/or APPs as this location staffs two providers to keep up with a high volume practice.

MidMichigan Urgent Care – Alma provides walk in and self-scheduled appointments, seeing all ages and conditions in a fun and friendly environment. In addition to acute care, the ideal candidate will also see patients with occupational health related screenings, physicals, and work related injuries.

The Urgent Care is a fully equipped modern facility with onsite x-ray, integrated EMR, and an experienced care team. Our nurses and radiology techs are dedicated to support you in providing excellent patient care, and our full time leadership is on site to assure smooth clinic operations.

Urgent Care experience preferred but not required. DOT certification preferred, but on the job training for certification is available. This rotating schedule will consist of 3 and 4 day work weeks for 7 shifts per pay period. Two of the shifts are 8 hours and five shifts will be 12 hours.

Bay City Opportunities

Walk-in Acute Care

Are you an NP/PA with the desire to work independently and help market a new venture for MidMichigan Health?

This opportunity has a “retail clinic” model in which the providers work independently with the support of the physicians at MidMichigan Health Park – Bay. Provider would be responsible for low acuity visits and patient assessments. The position is 3 shifts one week, and 4 the next with 12 hour days. Days/hours may vary depending on weekday vs weekend shifts.

The APP must be comfortable working independently and have a strong desire to be the face of the practice while marketing this location in Bay City. There will be a requirement for the provider to complete DOT Medical Training to become a DOT certified medical examiner. As the position grows and services expand, additional specified certifications may be required.

Experienced providers are preferred but new grads will be considered based on training experience and background.

Midland Opportunities

Colorectal Surgery

MidMichigan Health has an exciting opportunity for an NP/PA with (preferred) surgical experience. In addition to office visits, inpatient rounding, and OR expectations, this position acts as a care navigator and serves as a single point of contact for colorectal cancer patients.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing pre-operative patient education, ensuring completion of pre-operative testing, following patients post-operatively, and working collaboratively with the oncology team for patients receiving adjunct therapy. The APP will also be responsible for collection and presentation of information to the patient’s care team.

This daytime position is Monday through Friday. Hours may vary due to assisting surgeons in the operating room. At this time, call is not required but cannot be ruled out as the program continues to grow.


MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland has a fantastic opportunity for an NP/PA with strong interest in Pulmonology!

This daytime position is Monday through Friday with traditional office hours (some hours may vary slightly.) Although this is primarily an outpatient position, the APP will occasionally assist with inpatient rounding if the inpatient pulmonology APP is unavailable.

You will work collaboratively with the pulmonologists and lung cancer navigator to provide excellent care to patients while assisting with established patient visits, the COPD clinic and lung cancer screenings.

Thoracic Surgery

A new and exciting full-time thoracic surgery opportunity available for an experienced PA/NP at our MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland location. This APP will be working alongside our thoracic surgeon to help us grow and develop the service line. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, first assist, pre/post ops, patient discharges, hospital rounding, and first call. The NP/PA will also have the ability to do procedures such as chest tube insertion and removal.

Thoracic surgery experience is preferred but other surgical experience may be considered. The provider must be willing to manage a nontraditional work schedule and call responsibility.
