Biography
Eric J. Rocker, P.A.-C., specializes in Family Medicine. He sees patients at the Family Practice Center in Midland.
Philosophy of Care
Eric studied biology and chemistry at Central Michigan University (CMU) where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He stayed on at CMU and earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant. His philosophy of care includes staying connected to his patients to best help them enjoy healthy lifestyles. “My personality is pretty down-to-earth,” Eric said. “I like to think that helps patients feel relaxed with me and allows them to be open and honest. I enjoy building relationships and watching patients meet their health goals which improves their overall quality of life.”
With a focus on high-quality, evidence-based medicine, Eric wants to contribute to his patients’ wellbeing with a preventative approach. “I feel the emphasis on preventative versus reactive medicine has been key to many of the improvements in family practice,” he said. “A big draw for me to this specialty is that I truly enjoy getting to know whole families. Knowing family histories and watching patient grow up and change through the years is exciting. I think preventative medicine plays a big role in that overall picture.”
Outside of work, Eric enjoys hobby farming with his wife, Emily, and young son, Jackson. They have sheep, alpacas and chickens. He stays healthy by mountain biking and going for runs outdoors.
