Individual Grief Support

Support is available for adults and children by appointment in a private setting. Please note these appointments do not serve as crisis intervention and should not be called as a resource for emergent situations.

Resource Assistance

Information and referral for families requesting assistance.

Hospice Library

Books on topics such as death and dying, adult and children's grief, and spiritual care are available for checkout.  Hospice-related pamphlets and handouts are also on hand.

Education and On-Site Grief Support

Hospice members provide presentations and inservices for churches, schools and community groups who wish to learn more about grief.  Group support is also available to organizations that have suffered the loss of a team member or experienced a tragedy.

Children's Grief Camp

Camp Warm Hearts Helps Children Cope with the Loss of a Loved One
Losing a loved one can be especially confusing and devastating to a child. MidMichigan Home Care and Hospice of Helping Hands understand the challenges these children face and host an annual children’s grief camp, Camp Warm Hearts. The camp is held in the first full weekend in February each year.

The indoor winter weekend camp, open to children and teens between the ages of 5 and 15, offers an opportunity for children to meet others with similar experiences. The camp provides the children with coping mechanisms, unique ways of dealing with grief, as well as fun filled activities including sledding, arts and crafts, campfire activities and much more.

Cost
There is no cost for this camp.
