Annual Conference Looks at Coping with Grief During Uncertain Times

Each year, MyMichigan Health’s Spiritual Care Conference engages the community in exploring spiritual matters as they relate to health and health care. The purpose of the conference is to help meet the spiritual needs of patients and to better serve families and staff.

This year’s conference will be held on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at the Great Health Banquet & Convention Center, located at 5121 Bay City Road in Midland. Check-in and continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m., and the presentation will begin at 9 a.m.

Author and keynote speaker, Claire Bidwell Smith, will give a presentation exploring the individual and collective grief we’ve experienced over the past two years, reveal ways to navigate and better understand how we grieve and share effective coping strategies for managing anxiety in uncertain times.

Led by her own experiences with loss and fueled by her work in hospice and private practice, Bidwell Smith strives to provide support for all kinds of people experiencing all kinds of grief.
