MidMichigan Health Foundation is proud to announce Drs. Brendan and Leah Conboy and family as the Honorary Race Chairs for the Alpena Development Council’s 20th Annual Aliferis Memorial Race.
The Conboy’s have always led a very active lifestyle and have been participating in the Aliferis Race for many years; Brendan and Leah as far back as 2012, with daughters Penelope, and eventually Charlotte joining the fun by stroller shortly thereafter.
As an obstetrician/gynecologist at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena and a pediatric physician at Alcona Health Center, parents Brendan and Leah know and respect the importance of healthy, active lifestyles. Conboy’s concurred, “As physicians, but more importantly as parents, we recognize the importance of physical activity and healthy living for our families and our community. We strive to lead by example and hope to instill a tradition of fitness in our children and inspire our patients to make healthy living a priority. Whether we are hiking, biking, running or kayaking, we have found that exercise is a great way to spend quality time as a family.”
“Our sincere thanks to the Conboy family for accepting the invitation of Honorary Chairs for the Aliferis Race this year,” said Ann Diamond, development director, MidMichigan Health. “They are a true example of the objective of this event – enjoying the benefits of healthy, active lifestyles as individuals, as a family and as a community. We certainly look forward to seeing them at the starting line again this year.”
