The excitement grows as the preparations are underway for MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot’s 2nd Annual Golden Ticket Raffle, which will offer six $500 cash prizes. The event was created by Medical Center volunteers as a new and creative opportunity to both reach and help patients, along with the community, during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

Tickets are on sale now through Wednesday, Dec. 15, and cost $10 each. Tickets are available for purchase from MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot volunteers and the Highlanders Boutique Gift Shop located in the Medical Center in Alma.

The drawing will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, in the Hospital Entrance lobby of MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot. The winning ticket holders will be contacted by the information listed on the ticket.

Money raised by the volunteers through the Golden Ticket Raffle will help support equipment purchases and enhance patient care for the Medical Center in Alma. Proceeds from the gift shop, popcorn sales and several other special sales are donated annually to the MidMichigan Health Foundation and are used exclusively to support MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot.

Anna Parker-McDonald, volunteer manager, is grateful for the work done by all the volunteers, especially during these extraordinary times. “We play a small part that makes an immense difference to so many,” Parker-McDonald said. “Their dedication to supporting patients and their families, in addition to all of the service hours they provide, is heartwarming.”
