COVID-19 PSA: A Reminder from MidMichigan Health

As a reminder to the community, MidMichigan Health offers the following public service announcement:

“Hi. This is Dr. Lydia Watson, chief medical officer, with MidMichigan Health.

With the statewide COVID-19 outbreak, our generous communities have been asking how they can help support us in the upcoming weeks. We have established a COVID-19 Relief Fund and also accepting donations of unused Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hand sewn masks. For a list of acceptable items and the process to follow to make donations, please visit www.midmichigan.org/covid19.

Please remember, during this time of uncertainty, please remember:

  • If you feel sick and have symptoms of a fever of 100.4 or greater, cough or shortness of breath, please call ahead before you go to a doctor’s office or emergency room.
  • Please avoid contact with others and do not travel while sick.
  • Above all, the best way to prevent the spread of this virus is social distancing and proper hygiene, such as hand washing and not touching our faces. With these two measures we are all significantly less likely to get the illness.

For additional information, please call the MidMichigan Health COVID-19 hotline at (800) 445-7356. That’s (800) 445-7356.

On behalf of all of us at MidMichigan Health, be safe and be well. Let’s all do our part to flatten the curve.”
