Registration Open for June 1 SolesforCardio 5K Walk/Run Event

Registration is open for the SolesforCardio 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 1, at 9 a.m., at MidMichigan Medical Center – West Branch. Hosted by the MidMichigan Health Foundation, this family-friendly walk/run is followed by an aerial heart photo at 11:45 a.m. with the highlight of the day coming at noon with the Golf Ball Drop.

The eighth annual event kicks off with a motivational speech by Cardiologist Aliya Browne, D.O. Following the walk, at 11:45 a.m., all are invited together to form a “living heart,” shaped of people donning red shirts in the Tolfree Wellness Park’s circular loop off of M-30. Come wave as Team Hodges’ helicopter as it hovers over the group to take a picture of this heart-formation. This photo will be used to promote heart health awareness. Everyone registering will receive a free red t-shirt to be worn during the photo.

After the photo, the Team Hodges’ helicopter will then circle back around to drop 1,000 golf balls toward the target hole in the grass circle. The ball falling in the target hole or closest to the hole will win $1,000. Tickets can be purchased by calling (989) 343-3694 or emailing
