Grow and Grill Features Ways to Cook Healthy Foods at Home

A healthy eating plan and exercise provides the essential fuels your body needs to maintain good health, and help you feel your best. Grow & Grill: Balance and You focuses on demonstrating the most nutritious foods to fuel your body and the best ways to grow and grill them at home. The free event will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at the Tolfree Wellness Park Pavilion, 2463 South M-30, West Branch.

Taught by Brent Mikkola, E.P., C. P.T., wellness coordinator, MidMichigan Medical Center – West Branch, attendees will enjoy a grilled lunch, learn about outdoor cooking, healthy and balanced meals, nutrition information, growing foods, physical activity, and have a chance to learn about and explore the teaching gardens at the beautiful Tolfree Wellness Park.
