Freedom from Smoking Program Offered Begins January 15
Just in time for the New Year, to help smokers kick the habit, MidMichigan Medical Center – West Branch will host the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® program this winter. The eight-week program cost $50 and will be held beginning January 15 through February 26, 2020. Sessions will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Nursing Library located at MidMichigan Medical Center – West Branch.
Designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior, each session is led by a certified American Lung Association facilitator. Attendees will be given support, encouragement and the tools to develop a plan for quitting and living a smoke-free life. Led in a group format, the program sessions help encourage attendees to work on the process and problems of quitting, individually and as part of a group.
Registration is required for this program and can be completed at www.midmichigan.org/freedomfromsmoking. Those who need assistance with registration or help with payment may call MidMichigan Health Line toll-free at (800) 999-3199.
