A specialized positioning chair is helping children receive X-rays at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gladwin more comfortably thanks to a donation by the Medical Center’s volunteers. A $3,580 contribution was given to the MidMichigan Health Foundation to support this need.

“We are always looking for ways to help our patients feel more comfortable especially children,” said Rita Sheehan, Imaging Services supervisor. “This specialized chair reduces the need for multiple people to hold a child in a particular position for needed X-rays. This not only reduces the stress for the child but also their parents and even our staff. We are grateful to the volunteers for their support in making this possible.”

MidMichigan Medical Center – Gladwin offers many roles for volunteers. Learn more about volunteering at the Medical Center during a “Coffee Talk” on Thursday, May 9 beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Community Education Room located at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gladwin.
