Support Group for Chronic Lung Disease Expands to Alma, Clare, Gladwin and Mt. Pleasant
MidMichigan Health will begin offering its Breathing Easy Support Group in Alma, Clare, Gladwin and Mt. Pleasant later this month. With the goal to assist those living with respiratory problems, the Breathing Easy group provides peer support and addresses ongoing questions and concerns for individuals who experience shortness of breath and other symptoms of lung disease.
To recognize the expansion of the program from Midland to the Alma, Clare, Gladwin and Mt. Pleasant communities, the support group will launch with kick off events in February and March. During the gathering, Pharmacist Kevin Przybylski, Pharm.D., C.A.C.P., will answer questions about respiratory medications and how these medications work to improve respiratory problems and reduce overall shortness of breath. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to learn how to access their health information from home through the MyMidMichigan Patient Portal.
The kick off events will be held on:
- Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, from noon to 1 p.m., at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gratiot, Conference Room 1162A
- Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, from noon to 1 p.m., at MidMichigan Medical Center – Clare, Talent Center
