Self-Scheduling for Mammograms Now Available
Scheduling a mammogram at MidMichigan Health has just gotten easier. Screening mammograms can now be scheduled by patients through the MyMidMichigan patient portal.
With this scheduling option, patients can choose to have a conventional mammogram or a mammogram with 3D views. Additionally, patients can select from a list of open times at the subsidiary location that they prefer. Mammograms are offered at MidMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Mt. Pleasant and MidMichigan Community Health Services – Houghton Lake. Patients will need to bring an order from their health care provider on the day of their test or an order can often be placed electronically.
Patients having mammograms performed at MidMichigan Medical Center – West Branch should continue to call the Central Scheduling Department at (989) 343-3200. It is expected self-scheduling will be available at the Medical Center in West Branch in 2019.
Patients who have received care or services at a MidMichigan location are eligible for a patient portal account. Patients would need to have received care at a Medical Center owned by MidMichigan Health, a MidMichigan Urgent Care location, or a participating health care provider’s office. A list of participating providers can be found at www.mymidmichigan.org/providers.
Patients must be 18 or older or legally emancipated to have their own account. Parents and guardians may request proxy access for children under age 11. Adult patients may also choose a family member or caregiver to have proxy access to their account if desired.
Those needing to sign up for the portal may visit my.midmichigan.net or call MyMidMichigan Support at (855) 476-1298.
