Safe Sitter Program Begins in February
MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena is offering a Safe Sitter® program, a medically-based program for preteens and teens of approximate ages 11 – 13. Safe Sitter is a great program for children who may be left alone for short periods of time, or who are thinking about starting to babysit.
The program will teach participants various activities to do with children they are babysitting, how to solve problems and handle emergencies, rescue breathing, CPR and how to handle choking.
The Safe Sitter program will be held in Auditorium 1 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena, on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There cost of the program is $55, scholarships are available. Class size is limited and registration required.
