Quilt Auction Helps Purchase Equipment for Medical Center Patients
Collette Applebaum, admitting/emergency room clerk at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gladwin, was the winner of the holiday quilt auction.
Karen Eighmy, a volunteer at MidMichigan Medical Center – Gladwin, generously donated a Christmas quilt to the Medical Center’s Gift Shop this holiday season. An auction was held, and the winner of the quilt was Collette Applebaum, admitting/emergency room clerk.
The event will take place again next year, with a snowman quilt that has already been donated. Proceeds from the Gift Shop are donated to the Medical Center to be used to purchase patient equipment and other needs.
Volunteer opportunities include serving as a patient ambassador, working in the Gift Shop, providing clerical assistance, greeting patients/families at reception desks and organizing fundraising events such as book and candy sales, among others.
