The 2nd annual Love Light Trees ceremony and candle lighting remembrance event at MidMichigan Medical Center – Mt. Pleasant was a moving evening for those in attendance. More than $1,500 has been donated thus far to the MidMichigan Health Foundation for the Love Light Trees program to support equipment needs and patient enhancements for the Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant. Todd Olivieri served as chair of the Love Light Trees ceremony and candle lighting remembrance event.

Approximately 50 people witnessed the Love Light Trees being lit in a warm ceremony that included a time of reflection. Entertainment was provided by a Jazz combo featuring Central Michigan University students. Volunteer Randy Schiffman opened the ceremony along with Chad Otto, an employee of MidMichigan Medical Center – Mt. Pleasant, who provided the invocation. Marita Hattem-Schiffman, president, MidMichigan Medical Center in Gratiot and Mt. Pleasant, led the illumination ceremony.

Contributions to the MidMichigan Health Foundation for the Love Light Trees program in Mt. Pleasant continue to be welcomed and can be made in honor or in memory of others. Those interested in more information or who wish to donate may visit www.midmichigan.org/lovelighttrees or contact the MidMichigan Health Foundation at (989) 839-1932.
