Patients Benefit from Sporting Clay Shoot

The Annual Support Committee of the Development Council at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena recently hosted the 3rd annual Clays for a Cause sporting clay shoot at the Sportmen’s Club in Alpena.
This year, 10 teams participated with eight local businesses sponsoring the event. More than $3,700 was raised and will be used at the Medical Center to help fund vital patient enhancements that will provide advanced technology and more comfortable surroundings for patients and their families.

Development Council members and Medical Center leadership joined in the fun by participating in the 14 rounds, including Karmon Bjella, George Smart, Paul Rajasekhar, M.D., Amin Akhlaghi, M.D., Joe Garber and Hal Neiman.
Winning teams announced included first place, Meridian Industrial & Welding, second place, Ynglings, and third place, Pyrrhia Victory. Many of the sportsmen purchased raffle tickets for various giveaways. Gary Graham’s ticket was selected for the most coveted prize, a Mossberg International Silver Reserve shotgun.
