MidMichigan Recognized for Excellence in Cardiovascular Communications

MidMichigan Health was recently recognized for excellence in cardiovascular advertising by the 2013 CardioVascular Advertising Awards (CVAA).

This recognition included a gold award for a “STEMI Flyer Series,” which was used to educate community members about MidMichigan’s STEMI Alert Program. This streamlined emergency response program is designed to rapidly identify patients who are suffering from the most serious type of heart attack, an ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), so that treatment can be expedited upon arrival at the Medical Center.

A second gold award was received for a “Cardiovascular Emergency Summit Invitation.” This direct mail invited emergency first-responders, physicians and emergency department staff to a conference designed to educate health care providers about latest treatment guidelines and processes to quickly and efficiently identify patients suffering from cardiac or stroke emergencies.

A silver award was received for MidMichigan’s “How To Rescue Your Heart Brochure Series.” These brochures were developed to educate community members about how to recognize the signs of a heart attack and the importance of dialing 911 immediately. 

The CardioVascular Advertising Awards, produced by Marketing Healthcare Today, is a medical marketing awards program allowing health care organizations and advertising agencies to compete against similarly sized competitors from across the nation and world. Gold awards scored 95 to 99 percent and were ranked in the top five percent in the nation. Silver awards scored 90 to 94 percent and were ranked in the top 12 percent in the nation. All entries are reviewed by a diverse panel of health care marketing experts.
