‘Bra-La-La’ Event Raises More Than $13,000 for Mammography Scholarships
More than $13,000 was raised during the “Bra-La-La” fundraiser sponsored by the MidMichigan Medical Center–Gladwin Auxiliary in February. All proceeds from the event will benefit underserved women in the Gladwin community by providing mammography scholarships.
“We were overwhelmed with the support and grateful for all those who participated to make this event an outstanding success,” said Cyndi Adamec, event chair. “The funds raised are a true gift that will make an incredible impact on women in our community.”
For the fundraiser, businesses and community members were encouraged to participate by decorating a bra in the theme of their choice. The bras were then on display for one week in the Riverwalk Atrium where votes were cast at $1 per vote.
