Book Sale Opens to Public, Proceeds Benefit Medical Center

Just in time for holiday shopping, the MidMichigan Medical Center–Gladwin Auxiliary will hold a Books Are Fun fundraising event on Monday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to the public, the sale will be held in the downstairs lobby of the Medical Center, located at 515 Quarter Street. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Medical Center.

Books Are Fun offers a vast selection of books, gifts, and educational products at savings of up to 80 percent off retail prices. The Books Are Fun fairs and displays supply innovative, premium quality products to corporations, schools, hospitals, and early learning centers throughout the United States.

With approximately 90 members, the Auxiliary has provided more than 40 years of volunteer service to the Medical Center. Each year the Auxiliary donates more than 10,000 hours of service to the Medical Center. These volunteer hours include operating the Gift Shop and participating in a variety of health promotion activities. Activities included local community health screenings and health fairs, Tot Tours for elementary students and community disaster drills.
