MidMichigan Health is a partnership of health providers, services and facilities in the heart of Michigan. It is a non-profit, tax-exempt health system affiliated with Michigan Medicine, the health care division of the University of Michigan. As a non-profit, all excess revenues go back into providing care, upgrading services, fairly compensating employees and creating a supportive work environment.
MidMichigan Health acts as a parent organization to nine wholly-owned subsidiaries and has various joint ventures and management contracts.
During fiscal year 2017, MidMichigan Health provided $90 million in charity care, community benefits and other uncompensated care to 912,000 people in our 23-county region.
MidMichigan also contributes significantly to the health of our local economies. As the second-largest employer in Midland and Gratiot Counties and the largest employer in Alpena, Clare, Gladwin and Ogemaw Counties, MidMichigan employs more than 6,000 people who, combined, earn more than $428 million in annual wages and benefits.
Systemwide, MidMichigan has:

- More than 980 associated physicians and advance practice providers

- Annual gross revenues approximately of $1.8 billion for FY 2017
- Assets valued at just over $1.2 billion for FY 2017
- 773 licensed beds and 588 operated beds at seven medical centers
