Welcome to the Pediatric Specialty Center

The Pediatric Specialty Center provides a full range of pediatric services for children from birth to age 18. Our pediatric specialists are highly trained, dedicated professionals whose common goal is to work with parents to prevent illness and prepare children for a healthy future. While our goal is to keep your child healthy, we also strive to see your child within 24 hours of your call when your child is sick. Our board-certified physicians are on active medical staff at MidMichigan Medical Center-Gratiot and accept most insurance.

The Pediatric Specialty Center provides well-child visits, immunizations, flu shots, general wellness information and other special services.

Physician Coverage You Can Count On

Life’s minor emergencies can happen at any time - day or night. That is why the Pediatric Specialty Center physicians are on-call 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Our pediatric specialists can answer your questions, suggest at home treatment options or assist you in deciding if an urgent care or emergency room visit is necessary. To contact a pediatric specialist after hours or on the weekend call MidMichigan Medical Center-Gratiot at (989) 463-1101 and ask for the on call pediatrician to be paged. However, if you feel your child is experiencing a life-threatening event take them to the emergency room immediately. For answers to routine or NON-URGENT questions, please contact the office during regular office hours.

Providing Reliable and Easy Access to Patient Education

The Pediatric Specialty Center is excited to provide a convenient and reliable way to receive information on your child’s health. The Parent Resources tab provides information from the American Academy of Pediatrics Patient Education Online library, the leading authority in pediatric health and wellness. This easy to read collection spans birth through adolescents and includes information on well child visits, vaccination information, common childhood concerns, injury prevention and more. Most handouts are also available in Spanish, as well.

The many benefits of the Parent Resource tab include:

  • Provides immediate access to new and revised materials as they become available. You no longer will need to search the internet to find the most recent and reliable information about your child’s health.
  • Handouts cover common pediatric concerns from birth through adolescents.
  • Find and print only the materials you need quickly using the search option.
