New Graduate Nurse - Transition to Practice Program
New graduate nurses report the first three months of nursing as the most stressful in their entire nursing career. MidMichigan Health is committed to ensuring new graduate nurses receive additional support and resources during their first year. This is why all new graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in the Transition to Practice Program, a comprehensive 12-month curriculum designed to assist new graduate nurses in the transition from an entry-level R.N. to a competent R.N. The program incorporates unit-specific training, specialty area education, and monthly professional development sessions focused on the soft skills of nursing.
