New Graduate Nurse - Transition to Practice Program

MidMichigan Health is committed to ensuring new graduate nurses receive additional support and resources during their first year. This is why all new graduate nurses are automatically enrolled in the Transition to Practice Program, a comprehensive 12-month curriculum designed to assist new graduate nurses in the transition from an entry-level R.N. to a competent R.N. The program incorporates unit-specific training, specialty area education, and monthly professional development sessions focused on the soft skills of nursing.

The Transition to Practice Program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.
