Invasive Imaging

Invasive Imaging is an outpatient procedural area that utilizes a minimally invasive approach to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Invasive Imaging consists of eighteen holding beds, two Cath labs, two Interventional Radiology labs, one Electrophysiology lab, and one Hybrid OR. Within these labs we perform procedures in Vascular, Structural heart, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology such as but not limited to Right and Left Heart Catheterization, Cardiomems placement, peripherals , pacemaker placement, A-fib and VT ablations, Med port placement, lumbar punctures, TAVR, Watchman’s, and Carotid stenting.

Our team consists of skilled recovery RNs, aides, procedural RNs, state certified radiographer techs, RN Coordinators, PICC line RNs, an interventional radiology NP, a clinical value analyst coordinator, a pre-admission testing LPN and an educator RN. We have a team of highly skilled physicians working in collaboration to ensure high quality outcomes for patients. The Invasive Imaging staff is highly skilled with a breadth of knowledge and flexibility regarding patient needs, equipment, techniques, and evolving medical advances.

Within our team the skill set is vast, determination is strong, and caring for our patients is priority. Our team carries many additional certifications, we participate in sedation simulations, mock codes, have interdepartmental in-services twice a month, and a department specific skills day. Complex procedures are well supported by industry representatives that are also available for in-services when needed.

The department is available for emergent/urgent procedures 24/7 supporting a busy STEMI program, vascular program as well as IR procedures for our Level II Trauma Center.
