Always putting our patient first in everything we do.
Many areas offer staff the ability to enhance their skills and knowledge. This includes participating in annual mock codes, difficult airway management codes, MH codes, MTP codes and annual skills fair. Quality measures are reviewed by our unit practice council and this will gage process improvement.
Unit orientation is given by highly skilled mentoring staff and Buddy program. On average it takes 3 to 4 months to complete the detailed orientation process. Each new staff is given a department orientation binder to follow during orientation.
What Our Employees are Saying
“I like my 10 hour shifts and flexibility for having my scheduled day off for instance a Friday or Monday if you want a longer weekend. I like how people come in with a fracture but leave with it fixed. I like seeing people leave without cancer, pretty cool." — Jarrod Macnicol, R.N.
"I like the people I work with." — Ben Pichler, F.A.
"I feel we have good teamwork in our department." — Nicole Dahl, R.N.

"My schedule. Coming down here and only working weekends once every few months versus every other weekend and not working majority of holidays was huge for me. My coworkers are great about helping switch call or days off. Our manager is really good about trying to accommodate our work requests too. This unit truly is like a second family. I can genuinely say I love my job." — Jamie Story, R.N.
