Nursing Quality and Safety Council
The Nursing Quality and Safety Council (Q&S) is a system nursing council that guides and supports the overall quality and safe care provided to patients at MidMichigan Health. The council also serves as a resource to the unit practice councils to help them understand and review their unit’s quality metrics.
The Q&S council meets monthly to discuss gaps and trends related to up-to-date nursing sensitive indicator data. Current data is reviewed to identify hospital acquired conditions and progress or progression of trends.
Overall, it is the vision of the Q&S council to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to monitor best-practice initiatives to help reduce hospital acquired conditions and increase the overall safe quality care that is delivered to our patients and communities.
