Heart Attack: Know the Signs. Know What to Do.

In a cardiac emergency, every second counts. Learn to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack:

  • Chest pain, pressure or heaviness
  • Radiating pain that spreads to the shoulders, neck, lower jaw or arms
  • Shortness of breath
  • Dizziness
  • Heavy Sweating
  • Indigestion

If you experience these warning signs, don't wait -- call 911. If you see someone who may be having a heart attack, call 911,and then locate the nearest automatic electronic defibrillator, or be ready to give cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if needed.
