Grief and Loss Support Group - Midland
This 6 week group serves adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. Many members have begun the difficult and challenging work needed to establish life without their loved one. The group is more social in nature. Newly bereaved adults are welcome, but should be aware of the nature of this group.
Our programs have a set agenda. We teach about defining grief, common and normalcy of grief reactions, caring for ourselves while grieving and recognizing progress in processing grief. There is much opportunity to share losses and memories while discussing opportunities for healing. The programs are facilitated by the Bereavement Coordinator or a Medical Social Worker.
Groups are scheduled throughout the year. Please visit www.midmichigan.org/classes/grief&loss to find the next group starting and directions on how to register.
