Internships, Externships and Job Shadowing Opportunities

Internships

MidMichigan Health offers two types of student internships: paid internships and unpaid academic internships for college credit.

The application process for paid internships is open annually for two weeks in mid-November. Most of these internships take place during the following summer. These jobs are posted in Job Opportunities under the category "Student." Students must complete an online application to be considered.

Students may apply for unpaid academic internships at any time. Academic internships are posted in Job Opportunities under the category "Student" (look for a position titled "Job Shadow and Academic Intern.") Students must complete an online application to be considered. To learn more about these opportunities, contact your school's coop program or career placement office.

Nurse Externships

Externships take place during the summer and are available to nursing students who will have completed two semesters of nursing school by the summer when the externship begins. The application process is open annually for two weeks in mid-November for externships the following summer. Externships are posted in Job Opportunities under the category "Student." Students must complete an online application to be considered.

Job Shadowing

Job shadowing opportunities are available year round and are posted in Job Opportunities under the category "Student" (look for a position titled "Job Shadow and Academic Intern.") Students must complete an online application to be considered.
