MidMichigan Cancer and Television Advertising Recognized with Awards

MidMichigan Health, which provides health care in 14 counties throughout the region, has been recognized for excellence in marketing with two recent awards, one regional and one national.

MidMichigan’s cancer awareness advertising received a gold level award in the national Cancer Awareness Advertising program in the category of patient education. This gold level award identifies MidMichigan’s cancer advertising as being in the top 5 percent in the nation.

The award recognizes MidMichigan for patient education through testimonials, which featured patient stories about clinical cancer care with MidMichigan, specifically about Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation (STAR), genetic counseling and oncology nurse navigation. MidMichigan was also recognized with a silver ADDY award by the American Advertising Federation-Great Lakes Bay Region during its annual dinner on Feb. 25 in Saginaw.

MidMichigan received a Silver ADDY award for the television commercial, “You Deserve Amazing Care.”  The commercial features the MidMichigan Health success story of Steve French, a patient from Beaverton, Mich., who received emergency care at MidMichigan Medical Center– Gladwin and open heart surgery and cardiac rehabilitation at MidMichigan Medical Center– Midland.

The testimonials and the TV commercial were developed by a MidMichigan Health team led by Bernadette Stocking, director of corporate communications, and produced by ClearRiver Advertising & Marketing, a Midland, Mich., based advertising agency.
